Our client, a major Hedge Fund in the City of New York are seeking a Custody Operations Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of the custody business and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily processing of custody trades, including trade settlement, cash movements, and corporate actions.
• Liaise with custodians, brokers, and other third-party service providers to resolve trade-related issues and ensure timely settlement.
• Reconcile cash and securities balances, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage operational risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and control.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis for management and clients.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in custody operations, preferably in a hedge fund or asset management environment.
• Strong understanding of custody operations, trade settlement, corporate actions, and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Bloomberg and other financial data providers is a plus.
• Knowledge of Irish and European regulatory requirements is desirable.
