Position: Business Development Manager – Aerospace aftermarkets division

Ainsley Reid Retained search have partnered with one of the world’s largest distributors of chemicals and consumables to the Aerospace, Automotive and Pharmaceutical industries. Our partner would like to hire a number of Business Development managers for Aerospace aftermarkets division. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience within one or a number of the main aftermarkets sectors (Engine/landing gear/brakes/airframe).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ideally has airline and MRO relationships to leverage in creation of a growth aftermarket strategy
• Determines strategy to secure PMA on products to grow the aftermarket business
• Works with product managers to present capabilities/new distribution lines to our customer base
• Takes on prospecting tasks as necessary to hunt for new customers
• Takes an active role in pricing and proposal recommendations including strategic rationale. Work with the team to prepare business cases for profitable new business that delivers value to the customer
• Ensures compliance to Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
• Structured and secure transactions
• Understand sales orders
• Maintain and manage customer accounts and follow-up negotiate prices
• Communicate with the suppliers regarding supply chain and logistics requirements
• Follow up with new, pending, and completed orders
• Assemble a variety of status reports, such as activities, closings, follow-ups, and adherence to goals

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent written communication and verbal skills
• Ability to work with C-level executives
• Ability to multitask in a team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills
